The new version of the Blux System wall lamp is marked by its industrial character

The manufacturer of contemporary designer lamps, B.lux, has launched a new version of the Blux System lamp. Designed and first marketed in 1981, in 2017 B.lux re-released this collection of lamps consisting of two table lamps, two floor lamps, one ceiling lamp and six wall lamps. These lamps are hinged, with a friction swivel that allows for smooth, balanced motion. The switch is integrated into the shade of the lamp.

B.lux has decided to expand this icon of decorative lighting after identifying the need to manufacture a wall lamp with a small base plate. This new size for the wall version turns this lamp into a suitable component for lighting headboards. The Blux System family is manufactured in white, red and black finishes. The new version, called Blux System W, is also sold with copper or brass shades, which enhance the lamp’s industrial character.

The design of the lamps in the Blux System collection features subdued lines, in keeping with the style of the English design school, which paved the way for its great success on the international market in the 1980s. The Blux System also marked a turning point in the product strategy for B.lux, as it took a firm step to designing and manufacturing contemporary lamps.

Blux System is part of the decorative lamp collection of B.lux, a manufacturer of contemporary designer lamps since 1980.
