B.lux expands its David Abad collection of R2 lamps with a ceiling version
Market demand has driven B.lux, the manufacturer of designer lamps, to make a new version of David Abad’s successful R2 suspension lamp. In this case, it’s a collection of ceiling lamps, also consisting of a circular ring that integrates several LED floodlight modules to provide uniform lighting.
It is precisely these design characteristics that turn the R2 ceiling lamp into a visually unimposing lamp. It is also easy to install, since all of the R2’s electronic components are integrated into the circular ring. R2 is intended to be installed in spaces with low ceilings, whether public or in the home, though due to the type of light source, it is also perfectly suited to high-ceiling installations.
As with the suspension version, the R2 ceiling lamp is sold in three sizes, with 60-, 90- and 120-centimetre diameters. The warmth is another characteristic of David Abad’s R2 collection, thanks to the finishes on display in its circular ring, available in natural oak, bronze, white and black, all of them matte.
The R2 ceiling lamp is part of the new decorative lamp collection presented by B.lux at the Light + Building 2018 trade fair in Frankfurt.
