Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina, 1946), Jorge Pensi moved to Barcelona in 1977, where he partnered up with the famous industrial designer Alberto Liévore, until 1984. Since then, he has run his own studio in Barcelona, specialising in designing furniture and lighting, a leading light in international contemporary design.

His exquisite elegance in the formal development of products, and his acute understanding of trends facilitated the international launch of the B.Lux brand. Some of the first lamps he designed for B.Lux have become icons of Spanish design, such as the Regina lamp. His designs, minimalist and expressive in nature, have been distinguished with numerous prizes. In 1997, Jorge Pensi received the National Design Award.
